Carla Foderingham, CEO of the Trinidad and Tobago Film Company (TTFC) proudly hands over a cheque representing the Production Rebate on the award winning film, “Contract Killers” to Mr. Dave Cabral of Galt Alliance Films, who co-produced the hit movie. The movie was shot on location by producer, G. Anthony Joseph, T&T national, now resident in Los Angeles, California

The TTFC’s rebate programme offers up to a 30% cash rebate on production and related expenses incurred while filming on location. Contract Killers contributed over TT$700,000 dollars to the local economy and created employment for approximately one hundred people, firmly demonstrating that the TTFC is achieving its mandate to strengthen the T&T economy through diversity.

To-date approximately TT$12 million has been generated by the industry and this figure is expected to grow as other film projects come to our shores.

At the local end of the spectrum, the TTFC is assisting our indigenous talent with its Production Assistance & Script Development and Feature Film Programmes, both geared towards the creation of quality local productions suitable for international distribution and consumption.

The TTFC encourages and looks forward to the support of the private sector in contributing to this growing industry, as there is a plethora of talent and a dire need for investment beyond the resources of the TTFC.

Film is multi million dollar industry internationally and the TTFC firmly believes that with the support of all of the various stakeholders, Trinidad and Tobago can be the home of a highly lucrative and viable national film industry.
